Abdel-Rahman Rawashdeh

Accomplished Biotechnologist and educator with a decade-long journey that spans across academia, research, and teaching. Graduating with a BSc and an MSc in Biotechnology from Yarmouk University, I immersed myself in Molecular Immunology research and served as a Teaching Assistant. I further contributed to the R&D department at MONOJO biotech, advancing scientific knowledge through meaningful research.

Transitioning into education, I joined the American University School of the Middle East as a Biology and Science teacher, fostering curiosity and passion in students. Currently, as a Science Content Specialist at Alef Education Inc., I blend practical industry experience with academic knowledge to create enriching learning materials. I'm also a proud holder of the American Teaching Certificate from the Hawai'i Teacher Standards Board. 

I have a diverse and extensive background in the field of science and education. Currently, I am employed as a Science Content Specialist at Alef Education Inc. in Amman, Jordan, where I have been contributing since June 2020. In this role, I have been responsible for developing and refining educational content in the field of science.

Prior to my current position, from October 2017 to May 2020, I served as a Biology and Science Teacher at the American University School of the Middle East in Irbid, Jordan. During my tenure there, I gained valuable experience in delivering science education to students.

Additionally, I have a strong foundation in research and laboratory work, as demonstrated by my past roles as a Researcher at MONOJO biotech's R&D department and Training section from February 2013 to January 2015, as well as my experience as a Student Research Assistant in the Molecular Immunology Lab at Yarmouk University from June 2009 to June 2012. Furthermore, I also contributed as a Student Teaching Assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences at Yarmouk University during two periods, from August 2009 to January 2010 and from February 2012 to June 2012. These experiences have equipped me with a well-rounded skill set that encompasses both teaching and research within the field of biological sciences.
