1. Senior WaSH Humanitarian Officer _ UNICEF Program Fund_ ALRuban Refugees Camp (November2021 – Present): 

The purpose of the Senior WASH/Humanitarian Officer role to contribute to the development and implementation of WASH/Humanitarian interventions at Rukban camp (Berm) and help in adapting and improving internal systems to promote evidence-based decision-making and program performance.

  • Contribute to implementing the WASH/Humanitarian interventions at Rukban camp.
  • Report on progress of work as required by management and according to Donor requirements.
  • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
  • Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within. 
  • Support planning, designing, and delivering trainings to staff and volunteers inside the camp.
  • Report on achievement against targets as required by management and according to donor requirements.
  • Build the capacity of team members.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of water collection, Hygiene Promotion (HP), and Solid Waste Management (SWM) services inside Rukban.
  • Report on the humanitarian situation inside Rukban.
  • Lead a team of WASH/humanitarian staff and field volunteers inside the camp.
  • Design survey such as KAP surveys as required by management and donor.
  • Lead the process for data collection inside the camp as required by management and donor.
  • Report on media publication on Rukban.
  • Report on circulations published from within Rukban.
  • Ensure Mainstreaming of protection within the interventions.
  • Put in place M&E tools to remotely manage the interventions inside Rukban

2. Community Based Protection Manager Care international Azraq camp. (March 2020 – October 2021): 

  • Ensure high quality implementation of community-based protection (CBP) activities in line with agreed log frames/indicators, budgets, procurement plans, and work plans. 
  • With the support of the Protection Coordinator ensure technical guidance and tools for CBP are in place, and that activities meet technical standards. 
  • Ensure that allocated budget lines/activities and expenses are regularly monitored and, as needed, action plans with follow-up are developed to correct any over or underspending in a timely manner.
  •  Request and follow-up to ensure the required resources are allocated to CBP activities from relevant. departments, such as Logistics, Finance-Administration, Human Resources and Safety. 
  •  Produce timely high-quality internal reports and contribute to regular donor reporting. 
  • Coordinate with local and international agencies in the sector to ensure harmonized program implementation. Represent CARE International in technical working groups as required. 

3. Senior Site Manager MENA Region- (Libya – Iraq). (Feb -2019 March- 2020)

• Ensuring that constructed projects is completed on time and within budget of the project, and manage any delays or problems encountered on-site during construction. 

• involved in the role of the managing of quality control, and the inspection of work carried out. 

• Determine personnel, supplies, equipment, and other resources needed for the project. 

• Assist in establishing criteria and measurable for success or completion of the project. 

• Select workers, including paid staff, and volunteers for the projects. 

• Supervise and train workers on activities to be performed. 

• Monitor progress of project stages and determine and implement any necessary changes. 

• Report project progress and results to program manager.

4. Community Based Livelihood and Resilience Manager- Azraq camp. Care international (September -2017 December -2018): 

• Design a clear strategy related to the livelihood programs inside Azraq camp and at urban areas. 

• Coordinate the Incentive base volunteer scheme (IBV) in Azraq camp. 

• Draft The Incentive-based Volunteering Scheme (IBVs) in one of the three possible forms of income generating opportunities for refugees in Azraq Refugee Camp, which are: A. Incentive based Volunteering Scheme (IBVs); B. Private business on the local market (Souq) C. Work Permits. 

• Provide technical guidance to the operation, in line with UNHCR tools and guidelines for livelihood programming, and ensure technical integrity is maintained. 

• Provide temporary employment to refugees and host community members (with limited or no income) on community-driven projects. 

• Facilitate access to online livelihoods and educational opportunities in line with the livelihood program in Azraq camp. 

• Ensure that gender considerations are taken into account at all stages of the project cycle from design through implementation to evaluation. 

• Co-chair basic needs and livelihood working group in Azraq camp 

• Coordinate with the camp livelihood and basic needs working groups (International labor organization, community representatives, and camp actors, in all activities related to livelihood projects in Azraq camp. 

• Manage and regularly review budget components for the projects including spending plans. 

5. WASH deputy Program Manager- Azraq camp. ACF – Action against Hunger (June 2017 – September 2017): 

• Monitor the progress of the O&M activities and ensure they are implemented as per the specifications, within budget, plans, time schedules and quality standards. 

• Carry out regular daily field visits to monitor and follow up on the implementation of the ongoing activities, Identify and anticipate problems or constraints and propose solutions and possible improvements. 

• Monitor materials quality and technical inspection for each material delivery or constructed work 

• Ensures compliance with ACF policies, SOPs and guidelines.  Develop and ensure applying safety procedures and standards. 

• Preparation of donor monthly reports and ACF activity report. 

• Lead, Monitor, evaluate and provide sufficient technical resources to the team. 

• Support the assigned staff in their professional development, identifies training needs. 

• Supports staff to achieve the objectives defined by livelihood projects development plans by providing them with the necessary trainings and technical support. 

• Participate in Meetings and Coordination task. 

6. Water Supply Project Manager- Azraq Camp ACTED (June 2013- June 2017): 

• Assist WASH program manager in the design and implementation of projects development detailed, work-plans and project implementation tools to track project progress, expenditures and staff allocation. 

• Monitor the quality of program outputs to ensure objectives and outcomes are achieved, and make recommendations to improve project quality. 

• Data Management and Reporting Produce monthly and weekly activity reports through liaising with field staff. 

• Prepare all other reports upon request from the Program Manager, and AMEU. 

• Planning and organizing the water supply strategy, including contingency plan and water quality SOP. 

• plan and overseeing resources and logistical requirements for the implementation of the water supply activities, 

• Follow up of the implementation of sanitation solutions for the treatment of excreta, storm water, black water and grey water. 

• working closely with the beneficiaries, providing technical advice and WASH orientation. 

• Monitor water-trucking and dislodging delivery (volume, quantity and system of delivering), working closely with local partners. 

• Monitor the use of flow meters by suppliers 

• Monitor water quality and chlorination (chemical and bacteriological) at different water points (water tanks, wells, and at household level) 

• report and document the abnormalities and the repairs carried out in the water systems, and the material necessary for the program activities

• Training and handover of responsibilities (basic reparations, operation and maintenance, waste management, hygiene advices) to WASH committees 

• Ensure understanding of the water and sanitation related needs and usages of the communities, and coordinate them with the WASH team and partners on best implementation 

• Collect data related to the project and potential beneficiaries 

• Conduct community mobilization and sensitization and strategic development of the water supply program (water quantity and water quality). 

• Liaising with various bodies and individuals, including local authorities, government agencies, contractors, suppliers, technical experts and consultants. 

• Ensure Quality testing and assurance from borehole to point of use to meet the Jordan water authority standards WHO, UNICEF, UNHCR, and Ministry of Health. 

• Participate in technical meetings and working groups, involving NGOs and UN Agencies (UNHCR, UNICEF, UNOPS etc.) and all other inter-governmental institutions and pass relevant information to the Area Coordinator. 

7. Senior WATSAN Technician - Zaatari Camp and North of Jordan (Irbid- Mafraq – Ramtha), Acted (September 2012- June 2013): 

• WASH and Hygiene Kits Distribution.  Pre-planning, consultancy to (cyber city, Zaatari) camps. 

• Build and provide BoQ sheet for Zaatari boreholes and Zaatari old pumping station (Civil work Mechanical work, Booster Pumps, Chlorination System, Borehole flushing, Electrical Work). 

• Actively participate in camp WASH strategies development and UNICEF Wash sector meetings 

• Develop and design contingency from the assessment to the implementation phase including consideration of all factors relating to the sustainability of strategies and design for the camp. 

• Participate in technical meetings and working groups, involving NGOs and UN Agencies (OCHA. ECHO) and all other inter-governmental institutions and pass relevant information to the Area Coordinator 

• Support WASH facilities including technical design, cost estimations of technical activities, including development of bill of quantities for construction of all associated WASH works, including the all operational and maintenance considerations. 

8. Facilities / Engineering Operations Manager (2004-2012): 

• Schedule predictive and preventative maintenance inspections 

• Prepare and submit summary reports of conditions in buildings and recommend actions to be taken. 

• Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems. 

• Perform inspection and verification of all subcontractors' work, whether, soft or technical services. 

• Maintain, operate all HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, building management system, and building repairs. 

• Perform facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations. 

• Monitor and supervise HVAC preventive Maintenance contracts. Respond to emergencies. 

• Review and understand equipment and methods of operation, fire/life safety, and other systems. 

• Comply with all safety procedures and requirements.

8 years of experiences, providing total solution and support in the following areas: Networking surveillance cam monitoring, Access control, motion detectors, LAN, WAN, Wireless Networking and Electrical wiring (industrial & residential).
