Majd Abu Shaar

I am a Math teacher, who taught for two years at international (IGCSE) system schools. 

I am currently doing my Master of Arts in Teaching online program with Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, Massachusetts, through which I am specializing in elementary Math teaching. I chose to work on this recently in order to bridge the gap between teaching and engineering, as I am focusing on Education courses, including topics like teaching approaches and strategies, which are being actively used in elementary school. 

I am patient with learners, and I am passionate about teaching. I graduated from an IB school (Ahliyyah & Mutran), scoring 97.3%, then specialized in Civil Engineering at the University of Jordan, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree, with a GPA of 3.01 (very good). My GPA is 4.00/4.00 in my MAT to date.
 

Math has always been my favorite subject through the years, so I decided to pursue my career as a Math teacher, rather than a Civil Engineer. 

I prefer working with children, in their elementary school years, because I like to help them in establishing their basic mathematical skills and concepts at this stage, as well as being an inspirational stage to work with personally and professionally.
