      Role Purpose

      Editorial lead for media publishing and reputational monitoring including executive reports and Opportunities digests to highlight Open Society's achievements and reputational risks

      Key Responsibilities

      Tracks, compiles, reports, and analyzes Open Society issues and reputation using a variety of media and analytical tools including Open Society spokespeople reports with analysis of traction
    • Project manages and coordinates complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, such as media launches, sponsored agreements, and advertising partnerships
    • Organizes and manages monitoring assets, ensuring conformity to editorial standards and platform requirements
    • Initiates research activities to discover new media monitoring opportunities and make recommendations for advancement
    • Analyzes media monitoring performances, research results using a variety of tools, and draft concise reports and summaries, on key stories, such as incisive assessments and evaluations
    • Monitors breaking news and emerging or known reputational issues, for team and leadership, ensuring editorial compliance
    • Trains team on new media tools and leads on relationships with providers

      Essential:

      Qualifications:
    • Educated to a degree level (or equivalent)
    • Essential:

      Experience :
    • Substantial experience working in media markets and monitoring
    • Experience with content production, digital and print
    • Desirable:
    • Cross-functional work experiences including communications, crisis management, social media, and reputational measurement
    • Substantial experience in press outreach and monitoring, including non-English sourcing and social media
    • Managing projects within rapid turnaround times
    • Proven experience using Muck Rack, Meltwater, and other well-known media platforms for successful outcomes in monitoring and media placements
