- Job Description The Data Center presales Engineer will support the teams that build some of the most interesting electrical and mechanical systems. You will be able to communicate effectively with customers while confidently speaking about your company's products. You also need to be able to work both independently and with another related team. The presales Engineer will be part of the Data Center team and will own the information workflow, and coordination of documents including requests for information (RFI), report, and schedule updates. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Understanding the design drawing, TCCD, TCCF, and MEP drawings for the Data Center Facility 2. Design engineering layouts and finalize projects technically and financially according to strict deadlines and within budget. 3. Help clients draw up requirements and select the correct products and services. 4. Determine the best solutions and effectively communicate the value proposition of Data Center solutions. 5. Create BOQ, RFP, diagrams, and labor estimates from provided requirements. 6. Assist with technical questions or concerns during the sales process, acting as technical experts in customer presentations. 7. Develop relationships with various individuals within manufacturers' industry peers and internal resources. 8. Experience working with IT tools such as MS Office Suite including Project, Excel, and Word. 9. Excellent in AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software. 10. Experience with mechanical systems including cooling systems and building management systems. 11. Experience with electrical systems including diesel generators, uninterruptible power systems, switchboards, transformers, and power distribution units. 12. Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills 13. Excellent problem-solving skills Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, or mechanical engineering, presales and technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- +4 years' experience in designing and creating technical and financial proposals for Data Centers
- Experience with developing workflows and tracking systems including vendor equipment delivery, and document controls across 3 or more organizations/teams.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Uptime Certification
- Data center engineering large-scale project experience
- Data Center Certification
