Role Description This is a full-time on-site Staff Accountant role located in Amman, Jordan. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting functions, including but not limited to reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring accurate financial statements are produced. General Duties and Responsibilities
    • Assist in recording daily loan funding and purchase transactions on a timely basis.
    • Assist with the reconciliation of loan transactions, warehouse lines, liabilities (credit cards), commission worksheets, and bank statements monthly.
    • Pay vendors via multiple payment methods; resolve contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensure credit is received for outstanding memos; issue stop-payments.
    • Assist with the Annual Audit.
    • Assist in the development, maintenance, and analysis of budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
    • Assist in preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • Enter Purchase advice to the LOS daily.
    • Record bank activity weekly and reconcile monthly.
    • Record Credit Card activity weekly and reconcile monthly.
    • Record Accounts Payable invoices and record payments.
    • Support various Accounting and cross-functional projects on an as-needed basis.
    • Qualifications
    • Fluency in English is a MUST, Professional verbal and written communication skills.
    • 3+ years of accounting experience.
    • Has multi-client experience and the ability to work in fast paced environment with shifting priorities.
    • Has experience with numerous different accounting software solutions, such as QuickBooks and various LOS software.
    • Must be proficient with all Excel functions. Pivot tables,
    • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a very fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to work well within a team environment and take constructive criticism, coaching, and feedback for improvement.
    • Ability to work through and solve problems.
    • Ability to take ownership of assigned duties, and meet deadlines.
    • Must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, innovation, and urgency.
    • Must be able to work in US EST time
