As a backend software developer for Python/Java, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of tourism application software in the team. Your daily business
• Process automation with Python and Bash on Linux
• Programming and customization of database-supported applications
• Data management and interface programming for internal and external data exchange (e.g. SOAP/REST web services, XML and JSON)
• Support and expansion of web applications (Python/Java)
• Qualifications
• You have a completed degree in a technical subject, preferably computer science, or training as an IT specialist specializing in application development
• Several years of professional experience in programming application software
• Very good knowledge of the Python programming language and experience with Bash scripts
• Experience in dealing with the database systems MySQL and PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Linux web server administration
• Experience in Java is an advantage
• Ideally knowledge of tourism
• Very good analytical and conceptual thinking skills as well as a high degree of initiative, reliability and quality orientation
• Enjoy working in a team and strong communication skills
