• Lead in the development of relationships and partnerships and represent Concern in agreed priority INGO, government and UN meetings, and represent Concern in key networks, ensuring that participation reflects the perspective of Concern's field experience and key policy priorities (forums include InterAction, the IASC, US Government briefings, UN briefings and others).
• Manage relationships with Concern's advocacy partners in DC (InterAction), New York (New York-based NGOs, UN agencies), and with Concern Ireland, Concern UK and program countries to strengthen collective advocacy objectives, ensuring Concern's policy positions are effectively presented and opportunities for engagement maximized.
• Support Concern Senior Management and CEOs, both in the US and Dublin, in their humanitarian representation, advocacy and external relations with senior US Government officials, UN Representatives, Member States, other NGO leaders and boards.
• Build strong relationships with selected country programs and support country programs on specific policy and advocacy initiatives.
• Develop and host events, which highlight Concern's programming and advocacy positioning, ensuring key decision makers and stakeholders are present.
• Analyze key international political and aid policy trends in areas related to Concern's work, with a specific focus on the US Government funding and policy environment as they relate to and support the advancement of Concern's programming.
• Develop briefing notes and position papers as requested for both internal and external use on key policy issues, and coordinate research initiatives as required;
