    Job Description:

    JOB PURPOSE


    The main objective of this role is to oversee and offer technical guidance to the field IBVs in Azraq camp who are responsible for installing private latrines.

    This is crucial to ensure that the implementation of a WASH project in the Syria crisis response is of high quality.

    Additionally, the role aims to ensure that the population groups in Jordan, who are most susceptible and at risk during the COVID-19 pandemic, receive satisfactory WASH services.


    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
    70%Supervision of field activities and IBVs

    Supervise field activities for the latrine constructions.
    To ensure the construction and maintenance of latrines, as per the required specifications and drawings.
    Conduct site plans and site visits, to the Refugees HH, and conduct the technical assessment survey.
    Make sure of the required items installed in each location.
    Daily updates and reports to WASH Engineer.
    Sustained safety protocols, ensuring proper and cost-effective.

    Project is implemented at all target sites within the planned timeframe
    Quality of implementation work is meet WV and donor requirements and specifications
    IBVs' capacity in given role is improved.

    10%Quality and Security assurance


    Ensure that the sites and/or workshop is safe and secure, ensure that all IBVs/labours adhere to security procedures and policies.

    Eliminated project lags by inspecting work in-progress, tracking lead times and testing work to achieve quality control specifications.

    Work with MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning) team to collect data and track progress according to the indicators.

    Responsible for day-to-day security management at the sites.

    Avoiding of incidents and safety issues
    The project is implemented safely

    5%Coordination

    Coordinate with WASH Engineer to ensure the work plan and schedule.

    Support WASH engineer to coordinate with MEAL team to inform them about the HH visits schedule during site plan and implementation.

    Implementation of WASH activities is well coordinated with IBVs and WASH Engineer.
    Make sure of the workshop items and tools.

    10%Information management and reporting

    Report daily work progress to WASH Engineer.

    Ensure that all WASH and IBV activities and attendances recorded in daily bases, and all documents and papers are archived.

    Reporting in all incidents and safety issues happened in the site.

    A well-managed database for tracking of implementation activity including, numbers, records, photos, material recording, IBV management, etc.
    Weekly report is submitted in a timely manner

    5%Others

    Perform other relevant tasks as assigned upon request of WASH project Engineer.

    Ensures personal safety and the safety of the IBVs and beneficiaries in the field
    Be an active member of the World Vision staff

    KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

    Required Professional Experience

    One year of experience with INGOs
    Have experience of latrines maintenance components and constructions.
    Have background of WASH activities.
    Data collection and data management skills.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
    Highly organized and ability to multi-task
    Very good and efficient communicator
    Ability to cope and work under pressure
    Computer literate mainly in Microsoft Office package, especially Word and Excel.

    Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification

    Diploma or Bachelor Degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, water and environmental engineering or related fields

    Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications

    Familiar with core principles of Children Rights, Child Protection, Participation, Do No Harm, Sphere Standard
    Knowledge of and adherence to the Child Protection Standards, Red Cross and NGO Code of Conduct

    Travel and/or Work Environment

    The position requires ability and willingness to travel

    Language Requirements

    Native Arabic Intermediate English skills
