MAINFRAME Z/OS SYSTEM ENGINEER (F/M)

Balckridge Group is looking for a Mainframe z/OS Sytem Engineer speaking English and French :

Main tasks and responsibilities :

• Drive the design of our client s system architecture and actively prepare for new technical implementations (hardware, platform, product deployments) ;
  
• Installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and administration for Mainframe z/OS and associated software ;
  
• Third level support for Server Operations (requests, incidents, change orders ) ;
  
• Script the automation of regular tasks to help streamline operations and perform data collection ;
  
• Develop methods of collection and reporting ;Plan future Z Series engineering services and infrastructure ;
  
• Determine solutions, setup project tasks/plans, and implement those solutions ;
  
• Responsible for architectural design and development of hardware, software and product deployments based on ZSeries ;
  
• Analyze systems and determine business requirement ;
  

• Bachelor s degree/technical certification in Computer Science ;
  
• At least 5 years of experience as a system engineer on z/OS systems or system programmer in production
  
  Technical Skills:
  
  
• You have strong technical skills in:
  
• z/OS operating system, related utilities and tools ;
  
• Major z/OS subsystems (JES2, DFSMS, USS) ;
  
• Mainframe physical configuration design and architecture ;
  
• Operating system performance tuning and monitoring ;
  
• z/OS backup and recovery scenarios with DFHSM subsystem ;
  
• z/OS security management with RACF subsystem ;
  
  You have knowledge in :
  
  
• DB2 and Datacom ;
  
• Application Subsystems (TWS, IMS, MQ, CICS) ;
  
• zSeries (z13), Storage (EMC VMAX), Backup (EMC Dlm) and SAN (Brocade) configuration ;
  
  Languages :
  
  
• Spoken and written English is mandatory ;
  
• French will be considered as an advantage ;
