    • Collaborate with project partners to develop communications products informed by program data
    • Work with field teams to identify, collect, develop, and edit success stories highlighting program progress
    • Develop, write, and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content in coordination with the partners, for publication on Smart Desert's digital channels
    • Regularly share photo and story content on Smart Desert website and social media platforms
    • Identify opportunities to use communications to advance project objectives
    • Collaborate with MEL and Communications Coordinator to develop communications products informed by program data
    • Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
    • Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
    • Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications
    • Track projects and media exposure as well as update databases and media lists.
    • Support in preparing presentations and reports.
    • Join the team in the field and take professional photos when needed
    • Support the in the collection photographs and video clips for the project.
    • Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise, in coordination with IUCN Smart Desert project coordinator
    • Provide other support as deemed necessary
    • Coordinate with the Communications Coordinator on all project aspects and tasks assigned
